Criteria of cohort's to be included
Studies participating in COSMIC typically meet the following membership criteria: 1. Are epidemiological, and therefore population-based. 2. Examine individuals aged 60 years and over. 3. Are longitudinal, either with follow-up assessments or intending to have these. 4. Include an assessment of cognitive function, cognitive impairment or dementia as an important, if not central, objective. Studies from Africa, South America, Eastern Europe and under-represented areas in Asia are particularly encouraged to join (and whom not all membership criteria necessarily need to be met).
